Welcome to Evaluation in Practice – a workspace for the DECI Project. DECI stands for Developing Evaluation Capacity in ICT4D, a research project funded by IDRC.
Starting in November 2009 we will be updating the site. We started this space in 2007 when we began exploring evaluation and ICTs. We invite evaluation practitioners and experts to use this space to share their knowledge, best practices, provide advice and inspiration to their peers around the world.
This earlier version of the site documented the process and outcomes of a workshop that brought together evaluation practitioners and experts. It presented approaches, focus and intended users and uses of the evaluation efforts. It also provided a complete program of activities, names of participants and institutions where they work, as well as valuable information, links and other relevant resources. Some of this will be archived as we introduce the DECI program and share our progress.
Join them and share your thoughts and insights to make evaluation a more effective learning process.
Good to hear about it. It will be helpful to sharpen our undertsnading from different pratices. It’s also a scope for sharing our ideas and best pratices.
